5 Arab Designers Who Rocked the Emmys 2015 Red Carpet
Every year, Fashion Houses worldwide compete to get their designs on the Red Carpet. Emmys, Oscars and Grammys are among the most-coveted real Fashion shows where A-list celebrities get to display some of the chicest ensembles and gowns in a PR parade that seems fair and square. With stars getting pampered with exclusive access to intricately made couture, stylists who work relentlessly to deliver flawless looks, and makeup artists and hairstylists putting their final touches, designers’ work gets a much better focus than a mainstream event in any Fashion Week.
Arab designers are among the chosen few who usually turn heads and get acclaim for their Red Carpet stunts. This year, at the Emmys 2015, we have spotted five looks signed by five Arab designers that we thought you should see.
Krikor Jabotian on Regina King
Regina King marked Krikor Jabotian’s first Emmys look ever. Luckily, it worked for him. Not only did King win an Emmy, but her look made it to many Best-Dressed lists in some of the most reputable Fashion magazines worldwide.

Georges Chakra on Julie Bowen
Known for his futuristic designs and daring cuts, Georges Chakra revamped the “Black Dress” concept with his sleek black gown spotted on Julie Bowen.
Zuhair Murad on Lena Headey
Zuhair Murad has become synonymous with Red Carpets. You cannot think of a festival or a mega event without a Murad stunning look. A ball-gown with a plunging neckline spotted on Lena Headey was definitely a winner.
Reem Acra on Morena Baccarin
Reem Acra’s gown on Morena Baccarin did not give her much credit. However, we can still admire the simplicity of the gown. Maybe if Baccarin had chosen a much playful hairdo or jewelry, Acra’s fingerprint would have shined even more.
Bouchra Jarrar on Tatiana Maslany
Bouchra Jarrar is one of those designers who create their own flow; her approach to couture is unconventional in the truest sense with blazers and tuxedos perfectly tailored to suit some of the world’s most beautiful women. One of her minimal suits gave Canadian actress Tatiana Maslany a poised and modern aura.
