Moroccan Aroma Sizzling in Meriem Belkhayat’s Latest Collection

Today, I’m bringing you the latest Meriem Belkhayat’s Aroma Kaftan Collection. In this collection, Meriem has succeeded again to create masterpieces that bring about Moroccan authenticity along with modern hip and eternal glamour. I’ve had a brief chat with Meriem who was willing, as usual, to open up to Sans Retouches and tell us about her newest masterpieces.

When asked about her source of inspiration, Meriem said “While designing this collection I felt I was in a souk of silk and spices, hearing merchants’ voices and bargains.” Aroma collection came to light with an obvious mix of “feelings and flavors”, but they all shared the richness of fabrics and materials. “The fabrics I used mainly were organza and chiffon. In general, you will always notice that I usually work on plain colors to be more able to use embroidery,” Meriem explained.
