The Tagliata Di Vitello (Grilled Veal Chops) dish is a traditional Italian that is worth melting for. We have divided the Tuscan recipe into 4 simple steps just to ease the process for you, so that you won’t have any excuse not to try the dish yourself.

Step 1: Grilled Meat

Ingredients

  • 280 gms Veal chops with bone
  • 15 ml Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 gm Rosemary
  • 3 gms Rock salt
  • 2 gms Black pepper crushed

Method of Preparation

  • Marinate the Veal chops with extra virgin olive oil & Rosemary.
  • Season with salt & pepper.
  • Grill the marinated meat on a pre-heated grill to your liking. i.e. Rare 50 C; Medium 60C or well done 72C

Step 2: Roast Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 160 gms Potato laratte
  • 15 gms Butter
  • 15 ml Olive oil
  • Salt & Pepper for seasoningPepper
  • 4 gms Finely chopped garlic

Method of Preparation

Boil Potato Laratte without peeling the skin in salted water until cooked (Take care not to over cook the potatoes). Marinate the boiled potato with butter, rosemary, extra virgin olive oil, chopped garlic, salt & pepper. Place the marinated potato in a tray & roast it at 200C for 18 minutes.

Step 3: Salad

Ingredients

  • 20 gms Wild rocket leaves
  • 12 gms Shaved Parmesan cheese
  • Salt & Pepper for seasoning
  • 5 ml Olive oil

Method of Preparation

  • Dress wild rocket leaves with extra virgin olive oil
  • Season with salt and black crushed pepper
  • Garnish with Parmesan cheese shavings

Step 4: Plating

  • Place the roast potatoes in the corner of a large plate
  • Slice the meat into 6 pieces
  • Arrange the sliced meat in layers
  • Place the wild rocket leaves and shaved parmesan cheese on the top of the meat
  • Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil & crushed black pepper
